Corporate partnerships play a vital role in ZSL’s mission to restore wildlife in the UK and around the world. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and people-focused Corporate Partnerships Engagement Assistant to help deliver our hugely popular corporate volunteering programme. Working hands‑on at London Zoo, you’ll host and support corporate volunteer days, ensuring every participant has a safe, inspiring and memorable experience. From painting animal enclosures to learning first‑hand about ZSL’s conservation work, you’ll work closely with animal, horticulture and operations teams, support communications and marketing activity, and help steward relationships with some of ZSL’s fantastic corporate partners. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about conservation, great with people, and keen to build a career in fundraising within a dynamic, purpose‑driven organisation. This post is predominantly based at ZSL London Zoo with some homeworking. Due to the nature of the role, around 60% of your time will be spent in London Zoo as a true conservationist, hands‑on working outdoors in all weathers throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Leadership & Guest Experience: Lead corporate volunteering events and activities ensuring we know our guests, that they have an enjoyable and safe experience and that they learn about ZSL’s conservation work.
  • Cross‑Departmental Collaboration: Liaise with key internal teams (Animal, Horticulture, Grounds, Health & Safety) to develop and deliver rewarding experiences for our corporate members.
  • Event Administration: Manage the administration and coordination of events and activities as required, including consent forms, due diligence, and risk assessments working with your line manager.
  • Engagement Support: Support on Communications and marketing activity e.g. highlighting stories and successes we can share, to generate awareness, expand ZSL’s reach and drive engagement online.
  • Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Ensure corporate engagement activities are evaluated (e.g. using feedback surveys) and learnings are absorbed into future activities.

About You

  • Keen interest in and passion for conservation, wildlife and the role of ZSL.
  • Great relationship building skills, both internally and externally, taking care to make people feel at ease, informed and included as they take part in all our volunteering activities.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload; helping to ensure volunteer tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Provides high quality stewardship – with effective communication with partners – as part of the planning and delivery of our high‑quality events programme e.g. sending relevant information by email; handling queries before, during and after each event.
  • Empathic listener who enjoys working (and can work well) in groups, confidently handle multiple questions and proactively provide or find answers.
