About the role
Zoocha is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our growing cross-functional Experience Team. We’re looking for someone who can help to inform the strategy and design process by driving success through user insights on needs, goals and motivations. You are a highly skilled practitioner with a passion and grounding in the UX design process.
This is a hybrid working role, with the flexibility to work remotely some of the time, but with an expectation that you’ll be based at our Hertford office at least one day per week. Some travel to clients is also expected.

Your remit
We’re looking for a real team player who’s able to work collaboratively with our Experience and Development team, to design a wide range of audience-centred experiences, including websites, native mobile apps, and across global design systems. You should also be comfortable working independently across projects from concept to delivery.
What we're looking for from you:
- At least 3 - 4 years’ agency experience designing digital products
- Exceptional UX design-craft paired with a strategic, consultative mindset
- Ability to take a project from a brief, translating problems into practical solutions
- Proficient at creating UX/ CX deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes, journey/ experience maps, user flows, personas, information architecture etc
- Strong UX process, with an ability to create high level concepts through to prototypes, testing and UI handover
- Comfortable engaging senior client stakeholders, leading/ facilitating client workshops & co-design sessions to get buy in and progressing through to the final product
- Ability to conduct primary and/or secondary research, as well as quick rounds of usability tests
- Experience creating user stories and product backlogs
- Experience of designing and facilitating workshops
- Good commercial awareness, helping ensure work is delivered on time within budget
- Great communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts easily to people from other disciplines and backgrounds
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, marketers, and product managers
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
- Strong portfolio of design projects
Nice-to-have experience:
- Experience of designing mobile apps (iOS and Android)
- Experience of interpreting data (e.g. GA4, Hotjar)
Mandatory requirements:
- Based in the UK, ideally within regular commuting distance of our Hertford office.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
