Supplier Quality Management Engineer

Our OEM Client based in Gaydon or Whitley is searching for a Supplier Quality Management Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

The position will be based at Gaydon or Whitley but is a hybrid role, with more than 50% of the time working at the client\’s supplier sites. Some home working can be included, but primarily it will be either for a supplier visit or at the client\’s site. The professional must have a valid driving license and be willing to travel within the UK, mostly around the Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Verifying and validating suppliers and/or subcontractors have received engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
• Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities.
• Ensuring programs are in place to improve supplier performance and productivity.
• Reviewing and analyzing corrective action reports to reduce/eliminate defects.
• May perform deviation investigations into quality issues.
• Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.
• Coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
• Addressing difficult and often complex problems.
