Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for an Integration Engineer to join their team on an Inside IR35 contract.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the diagnosis of software and systems issues in the development phase of an Automotive Vehicle Platform.
  • Be part of the Central Systems Integration Team (CSI) responsible for planning and coordinating delivery of software from multiple ECUs which, when combined, deliver the features and systems of the vehicle under development.
  • Focus on issues resolution, specifically understanding root cause and assisting with resolution of systems and software issues within the vehicle.
  • Engage directly with complex issues to aid with data gathering, define the problem, and analyse the data to determine which team owns the resolution.
  • Determine the level of urgency during the initial investigations.
  • Ensure accuracy of data captured to support the quality of level 1 triage issue tickets.
  • Ensure key testing assets are kept up to date and assist in testing complex issues/systems.
  • Work with other areas of the business to ensure issues are understood and prioritised correctly.

Skills Required

  • Strong technical background with proven knowledge of electrical and software engineering; knowledge of components and software systems, including architectures and integrated software solutions.
  • Understanding of design principles and the application of quality tools.
  • Able to prioritise workload and lead issue resolution (with support) either individually or as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels within the business; knowledge of problem-solving and quality tools.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to act on initiative.

Education

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
