Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Group Scrum Master to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £49.20 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Guiding and coaching team members in self-management and cross-functionality, emphasising the importance of communication.
- Helping the Scrum Team focus on creating high-value product increments that meet the 'Definition of Done'.
- Removing obstacles to Scrum Teams' progress (Managing obstacle board reviews).
- Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
- Helping stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work (from tools and processes usage perspective).
- Evolving new ways to bridge between business tools and processes and Agile WoW.
- Ensuring top-down and bottom-up sync between product groups and vehicle group for any activity.
- Governing effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
- Managing group Product Backlog and ensuring clear and concise Product Backlog items linked to stories/features/capabilities.
- Facilitating stakeholder collaboration where necessary.
- Preparing vehicle team QBR memo in conjunction with SPM, Prog Chief, and PGLs.
- Communicating with stakeholders, escalating impediments, helping manage risk, and driving relentless improvement.
- Guiding team introspection to continually improve agile ways of working.
- Representing impediments to Programme/Vehicle Teams via Obstacle process (JIRA tickets).
- Supporting escalation in Obstacle Reviews.
- Protecting the Team from outside interference.
- Assisting the Product Owner in backlog creation and refinement, estimation, roadmap development, and dependency alignment.
- Reviewing performance charts every sprint to pinpoint challenges.
- Contributing to the delivery activities for my squad through planning and MBI assessments.
- Facilitating retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning/backlog refinement.
- Ensuring the group remains focused on meeting objectives.
- Coordinating showcases and ensuring timeliness.
- Preparing meeting materials for Group Sync meetings to ensure effective information flow to team members.
Skills Required:
- Delivery experience: this could have been through purchasing, engineering, programmes, quality, integration, etc., as long as it is part of product/programme delivery through launch.
- Basic understanding of SAFE & Scrum and experience as a Scrum Master.
- Automotive Product Development and Delivery Experience together with Agile delivery knowledge.

- Hybrid working - likely 2 to 3 days on site at Gaydon, occasional travel to Halewood.
