Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Development Trimmer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £38.04 per hour.
For the development trimmer role, we require a highly skilled individual for seat development, with patterning, sewing, and component trimming capabilities. The role involves working with our technical specialist to deliver feasibility studies through physical seats.
Essential Skills
- Automotive Patterning - Seats
- High level of machine sewing
- Previous experience working in an automotive design environment
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Experience of full trimming of full seats from patterning to finishing and fitting
- Experience of production and manufacturing processes for seats
- Engineering capability for seat functionality (Airbags, Climate)
- Previous experience working with leather, PVCS, and textiles
- Ability to read and interpret rendered designs, 3D CAD, drawings, and colour call outs
- Knowledge and experience of safe working practices adhering to H&S policies
- Effective communication skills with staff and senior managers
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
- Microsoft Office 365 experience
- Experience in development and production of accessories
- Knowledge of mass production processes and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of textiles
