Serves as the Technical subject matter expert (SME) for AV conference room deployments within a designated region or program. Provides engineering guidance, ensures adherence to Microsoft AV standards, and supports project teams through all phases of deployment – from design development to installation and handover.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the Technical SME for AV deployments, educating project teams on Microsoft standards, deviation processes, and technical risk.
  • Accountable for validating AV conference room designs and bill of materials (BOM) based on site survey results, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with standards, and readiness for procurement.
  • Manage and quality‑assure design development drawings and construction documentation.
  • Provide technical consultation during installation phases, including responding to RFIs and resolving escalations with vendors and engineering teams.
  • Participate in retrospectives and lessons learned sessions to drive continual improvement and share technical insights across teams.
  • Support the AV Project Manager on all technical elements of the deployment lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in AV systems engineering/design.
  • Strong understanding of AV hardware, room standards, and deployment protocols.
  • Experience with design development, technical drawing review, and functional specification creation.
  • Proven ability to resolve technical escalations and support field teams during installation.
  • At least one industry certification, such as: CTS certification – foundational AV industry certification from AVIXA. CTS‑D or CTS‑I – advanced AV certifications for design and implementation roles.
