Position Overview
Zones is looking for a Field Service Technician. In this position, you will remediate on-site incidents by performing diagnostics and repairs on varied computer and audio-visual equipment, which includes but is not limited to, End User Compute, Servers, Display Screens, Projectors and Unified Communication solutions. You will also interface with external customers to conduct an evaluation of the reported issue and, on occasions, support installation activities such as mounting screens and other devices to surfaces.
What you’ll do as the Field Service Technician:
- Travel to customer locations and possess a flexible work schedule, this may require overnight stays.
- Perform troubleshooting on a variety of equipment and maintain the ability to diagnose EUC, Networking, and other IT-related issues.
- Interact with customers on site and maintain a professional and helpful demeanor.
- Resolve incidents by replacing faulty devices or components, including device configuration.
- Provide status updates and feedback to the Field and Project Management Teams during on-site activities.
- Initiate escalation processes and provide succinct updates as appropriate to other resources.
- Perform Pre-Flight Checks before work commences, adhering to best practice to minimize risks.
- Complete appropriate paperwork as required for customer acceptance.
- May be responsible for operating company vehicle.
- This role requires up to 50% travel.
What You Will Bring To The Team:
- Between 3 to 5 years’ experience in a field-based role working with EUC & Networking Technologies.
- Experience with PC systems, related peripherals, common software programs and operating systems.
- Experience with Networking Fundamentals and some hands-on experience working with Networking Technologies.
- Good incident troubleshooting and resolution skills, including documentation of root cause analysis.
- Experience working with customers is essential.
- Ability to work at a height above 3 meters when required.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel, including working off-hours, weekends and staying overnight with prior notification.
- Fluent in the local language and the ability to communicate at a technical level in English as a minimum.
- Full driving licence.
- Must be Dutch national or have full rights to work in the Netherlands.
- Experience with AV / Meeting Room Technologies.
- Basic understanding of electrical safety.
- Network+, CCNA, JNCIA or other relevant qualifications.
- Experience in Retail Environments and EPOS.
