Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our dynamic Finance team on a part-time basis. This role will have overall responsibility for the accounts payable function and will report into the Management Accountant, working within a small friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing of all purchase invoices on Microsoft Dynamics 365, obtaining budget holder approval and ensuring posted to the correct nominal code & correct tax treatment.
• Processing and reconciliation of company credit cards.
• Processing and obtaining sign-off of all staff expenses.
• Resolve invoice and payment queries promptly and professionally.
• Responsible for reconciling all supplier accounts.
• Preparation of weekly payment runs for approval.
• Accurate allocation of bank payments to supplier accounts/Bank reconciliations.
• Continuously review and improve all processes and procedures where appropriate.
• Assisting with credit control by chasing overdue debts and minimising debts that go overdue.
• Working with debt collection agency where necessary.
• Other Ad hoc tasks as required.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable/Finance role.
• Previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
