The Senior Product Analyst for Payments products at Zone and Co is responsible for driving the successful development lifecycle of our Payments solutions across the Quote to Cash Accounts Receivable products. This role involves serving as the critical link between business stakeholders and the technical development team, ensuring that product vision is translated into actionable requirements.
The Product Analyst will specifically focus on identifying, analyzing, and documenting business processes—with a crucial emphasis on the Quote to Cash AR automation flows. They are key to ensuring the product meets the needs of mid-size finance teams by generating clear requirements, managing the feedback collection loop, and driving process flow optimization.
What You’ll Do:
- Own Product Roadmap, prioritize and manage the requirements backlog in collaboration with the Product Manager.
- Translate business needs into clear, concise, and verifiable technical requirements for the development team.
- Identify, analyze, and communicate risks and issues related to requirements, scope, and process changes.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate that the delivered solution meets the documented requirements.
- Serve as the primary functional resource during the design and development phases, clarifying requirements for the engineering team.
- Be the day-to-day POC for engineering, participating in daily ceremonies and managing key deliverables.
- Provide training and support materials for new product features rolled out to business users.
- Ensure that all requirements and process documentation are thorough, traceable, and easily accessible.
- Work with cross-functional teams to scope projects and manage timelines effectively.
- Automate reporting and analytical tasks related to project status and requirements traceability.
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Support data governance initiatives to ensure data integrity and accessibility across finance systems.
What You’ll Need:
- Must have 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role, with a focus on enterprise software or product development.
- Domain Expertise: strong understanding of the accounts receivable workflows, ideally with direct experience with payment processing (Stripe/Adyen etc.).
- Netsuite experience is a must.
- Technical Fluency: Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers, understand API capabilities, and grasp the nuances of building scalable, secure financial software.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to analyze complex market data, competitive landscapes, and customer insights to define winning product strategies and prioritize effectively.
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences (technical, business, executive).
- Execution Focus: success in bringing complex software products from conception to launch and driving adoption.
- Agile Proficiency: Experience working in agile development environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
