The Business Analyst for AI Finance Products at Zone and Co is responsible for driving the successful development lifecycle of our artificial intelligence-powered finance solutions. This role involves serving as the critical link between business stakeholders and the technical development team, ensuring that product vision is translated into actionable requirements.

The Business Analyst will specifically focus on identifying, analyzing, and documenting business processes—with a crucial emphasis on the Order to Cash workflow—to inform the design of our AI Finance product. They are key to ensuring the product meets the needs of mid-size finance teams by generating clear requirements, managing the feedback collection loop, and driving process flow optimization.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct in-depth interviews and workshops with finance teams and business users to capture precise business needs.
  • Prioritize and manage the requirements backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner.
  • Translate business needs into clear, concise, and verifiable technical requirements for the development team.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate risks and issues related to requirements, scope, and process changes.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate that the delivered solution meets the documented requirements.
  • Serve as the primary functional resource during the design and development phases, clarifying requirements for the engineering team.
  • Provide training and support materials for new product features rolled out to business users.
  • Ensure that all requirements and process documentation are thorough, traceable, and easily accessible.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to scope projects and manage timelines effectively.
  • Automate reporting and analytical tasks related to project status and requirements traceability.
  • Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Support data governance initiatives to ensure data integrity and accessibility across finance systems.
  • Other duties as prescribed.

What you’ll need:

  • Must have 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on enterprise software or product development.
  • Background in mid-size finance teams is a must, with direct experience or deep knowledge of core financial processes, particularly the Order to Cash workflow.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field required, Master’s preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in requirements modeling and using requirements management tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems or financial software is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and working with technical teams.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex business information into meaningful executive summary reports.
  • Ability to innovate, execute and deliver results.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Products.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both written and verbal.
  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills.
