This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior, trusted role at the heart of a fast-growing, well-funded financial services business. The role exists to replace and build upon an established leader, taking ownership of a high-quality corporate book and carrying forward the standards, judgement, and relationships that underpin our corporate division.
We are a privately owned, ambitious financial services business with a strong track record of growth through acquisition and organic expansion. Our Corporate division supports 55+ employer schemes, covering approximately 4,000 members across 30+ businesses, and sits at the centre of our long-term growth strategy alongside our Wealth division. With the current Head of Corporate retiring, we are investing deliberately in the next generation of leadership - someone who can be trusted with responsibility, autonomy, and influence from day one.
This role is designed for an experienced corporate pensions professional who is ready to operate as a safe pair of hands and a commercial leader. This role carries significant trust and discretion and is central to maintaining the reputation and credibility of our corporate proposition. You will take ownership of an established, well-run corporate book and will be empowered to:
- Protect and deepen long-standing employer relationships
- Grow revenues organically across employers and members
- Lead and develop the corporate support team
- Shape the future direction of the corporate division
This is not a “title-only” role. You will have real responsibility, real influence, and real accountability. For the right individual, this position offers a clear pathway into broader senior leadership or executive responsibility over time.
You are likely already:
- Managing a portfolio of corporate clients
- Acting as a senior adviser or de facto lead within your current firm
- Trusted by directors, business owners, and senior stakeholders
- Frustrated by limited progression, excessive bureaucracy, or capped earning potential
You are now looking for:
- Genuine ownership and autonomy, not just client servicing
- P&L influence and commercial accountability
- A seat at the table with senior management
- The opportunity to steward and grow something meaningful
Bringing clients with you is welcomed but not essential. This role is about leadership, judgement, and continuity - not a lift-and-shift book move.
You will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in corporate pensions, group risk, and employee benefits
- A strong working understanding of automatic enrolment and SSAS
You will be confident advising directors, business owners, and senior stakeholders, with a commercial mindset and a clear understanding of tax efficiency across group and individual structures. Previous people management or mentoring experience is advantageous, but judgement, credibility, and leadership potential matter just as much as tenure.
You will be accountable for:
- Owning the performance, standards, and future growth of the Corporate division
- Acting as the senior relationship lead for key employer clients
- Maintaining continuity, trust, and service quality across the existing corporate book
- Leading and developing a small, experienced support team
- Identifying and converting organic growth opportunities across employers and members
- Working closely with sales and wealth colleagues to maximise cross-division revenue
- Leading annual corporate governance and strategy meetings
- Driving engagement and revenue through our employee financial wellbeing platform
- Contributing strategically as part of the senior leadership team
Within your first 12–18 months, you will have:
- Built trusted, respected relationships with key employer decision-makers
- Successfully taken stewardship of the existing corporate book
- Delivered measurable organic growth across employers and members
- Established yourself internally as the authority for corporate advice
- Developed the support team to operate confidently and autonomously
- Become a relied-upon contributor within the senior leadership team
What’s in it for you:
- Competitive basic salary
- Commission and quarterly bonus linked directly to corporate growth
- Participation in the employee share scheme
- Employee reward programme
Most importantly: clear progression. This role is designed to grow in scope and influence as you do.
Interested? Apply with your CV and a short note outlining:
- What excites you about stepping into this role
- How you would approach stewarding and growing an established corporate book
Every applicant will receive a response. Short-listed candidates will be invited to an initial video interview, followed by a brief personality profile and an in-person meeting.
