Zola Analytics is a financial data platform and AI search engine that answers users’ questions with charts. We are a London-based, well-funded early-stage startup on a mission to revolutionise financial and economic analysis.

More on the role

As a Research Analyst at Zola Analytics, you’ll combine your passion for financial markets and macroeconomics with your ability to produce compelling research and analysis. You’ll be working at the intersection of technology and finance, collaborating with multiple teams to create a platform that sets a new standard for financial intelligence.

Day to day, you might:

• Conduct in-depth research on macroeconomic trends, financial markets, and industry topics, and produce compelling written content, both for clients and for publication.
• Work with the AI team to integrate human expertise into the system’s knowledge base, and help develop a world-class financial intelligence system.
• Collaborate with the data team to curate and enhance our data platform by choosing and ingesting new datasets.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to shape the data visualization and analysis tools.
• Consult with subject matter experts to improve the platform’s coverage of particular topics.
• Stay at the forefront of economic and market developments.

What we\’re looking for

Experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced tech environment is desirable. We\’re a small team of skilled and independent contributors – and we need someone who can hit the ground running.

You should have:

• We consider candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, but you must have a passion for and deep knowledge of financial markets and macroeconomics.
• Exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with experience working with financial and economic data.
• The ability to collaborate across teams and contribute to the intersection of research, AI, and product development.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, with the curiosity and initiative to identify and solve problems proactively.

We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in sell-side or buy-side research, economic policy research, business journalism, central banking, management consulting, or quantitative social sciences. What matters most is your ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
