The opportunity
A Haringey SEN school setting requires a therapy assistant to help pupils develop functional communication through carefully planned individual and small-group work.
What you will do
- Deliver programmes prepared by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
- Use visual communication, AAC and interaction strategies suited to each pupil.
- Prepare practical resources and embed communication targets into everyday routines.
- Record responses accurately and share useful feedback with the therapy and education teams.
- Encourage confident communication in a safe and supportive environment.
What you will bring
- Relevant experience supporting speech, language or communication needs.
- The ability to follow therapy plans accurately and adapt in the moment.
- Good record-keeping, teamwork and safeguarding practice.
- QTS is not required for this therapy-support role.
