Job Description

3 months Contract with a Local Authority Umbrella - £18.14 - Umbrella

Job Purpose

As a Multi Trader, you will carry out responsive repairs andmaintenance works across Rugby Borough Council's housing stock, with a primaryfocus on plumbing repairs and secondary carpentry works. You will workindependently within occupied properties, delivering high-quality repairs andresolving issues on the first visit wherever possible.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• Carryout domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnoseand repair leaks.
• Repairand replace taps, toilets, basins, baths, and sanitary ware.
• Completekitchen and bathroom plumbing repairs.
• Undertakewaste pipe and drainage-related repairs.
• Carryout fault-finding and remedial plumbing works.
• Completeassociated carpentry and joinery repairs where required.
• Deliverresponsive repairs within occupied residential properties.
• Completerepairs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Maintainaccurate job records using IT systems and handheld devices.
• Communicateeffectively with tenants and residents.
• Ensureproperties are left clean and safe following repairs.
• Workindependently and manage workloads efficiently.
• Participatein the out-of-hours standby rota if required.

Essential Experience Required

• Strongdomestic plumbing experience.
• Experiencecarrying out:
• Leakdetection and repairs
• Sanitaryware replacement and repairs
• Generalplumbing fault finding
• Carpentryexperience as a secondary trade.
• Experienceworking within social housing, property maintenance, repairs, orfacilities services.
• Experienceworking within occupied residential properties.
• Abilityto complete multiple repairs without requiring additional trades.
• Goodcustomer service and communication skills.

Essential Qualifications Required

• FullUK Driving Licence.
• Relevanttrade experience in Plumbing and Multi-Trade Repairs.
• Rightto Work in the UK.

Additional Information to Note

• Workinghours: 37 hours per week.
• Mondayto Friday.
• Workinghours: 08:00 – 16:00.
• Location:Rugby Borough
• Council.Basic DBS check.
• Additionalstandby payment of £200 per week when participating in the on-callservice.
• FullUK Driving Licence essential.
