We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join awell-established and growing business based in Leeds City Centre. You’ll takeownership of your own portfolio of accounts, managing the end-to-end creditcontrol process while building strong relationships with customers and internalstakeholders.
This is a varied role within an experienced and approachable financeteam, reporting to a supportive Credit Manager who encourages ownership,development and progression.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Credit Controller, you’ll be responsible for managing your ownportfolio of customer accounts and ensuring outstanding debt is collectedefficiently and effectively.
Your role will involve:
- Managinga portfolio of customer accounts and the full end-to-end credit controlprocess
- Chasingoutstanding invoices by telephone and email
- Buildingstrong and professional relationships with customers and internalstakeholders
- Investigatingand resolving invoice and payment queries
- Postingand allocating customer payments accurately
- Producinginvoices and customer statements
- Reviewingaged debt and providing detailed commentary where required
- Completingbank reconciliations and supporting cash allocation
- Workingclosely with internal teams to resolve account and payment queries
- Monitoringoutstanding balances and taking appropriate action to minimise aged debt
- Workingto agreed deadlines, targets and service levels
- Supportingthe wider finance team during busy periods, including month end
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of your ledger whileworking closely with an experienced team and supportive Credit Manager.
What We’re Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previousexperience working in an end-to-end Credit Control role
- Experiencemanaging your own ledger or portfolio of customer accounts
- Experiencedealing with high-value and/or high-volume accounts
- Strongcommunication and relationship-building skills
- Excellentattention to detail and organisational skills
- Theability to prioritise effectively and manage your own workload
- GoodExcel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experienceworking to deadlines, targets and service levels
- Aproactive and solution-focused approach
- Theconfidence to deal professionally with challenging queries and paymentissues
