A lovely semi-retired professional couple are seeking anexperienced, practical and proactive live-in Domestic Couple to take fullresponsibility for the day-to-day running and upkeep of their contemporaryfamily home and surrounding grounds in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire.
This is a long-term role suited to a couple who genuinelyenjoy country living, have excellent communication skills, work well togetherand are happy to be flexible when required. The household is relaxed andinformal, with occasional visits from the principals' adult children.
The property comprises a modern five-bedroom, five-bathroomhome set within approximately five acres of land. There is also an indoorswimming pool complex, which is professionally maintained.
The principals are looking for a couple who are particularlycomfortable around animals, as they have several large dogs and small ponies.No previous equine experience is required, however both candidates should behappy to learn and assist with their care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Fullhousekeeping to an exceptional standard
- Dailycleaning and presentation of the home
- Laundry,ironing and wardrobe care
- Bedchanging and linen management
- Householdorganisation and maintaining a tidy environment
- Monitoringhousehold supplies and notifying the principals when replenishment isrequired
Property Maintenance & Grounds
- Generalhandyman and maintenance duties
- BasicDIY and routine household repairs
- Monitoringthe overall condition of the property and reporting any maintenance issues
- Liaisingwith external contractors where required
- Assistingthe gardener with seasonal and general outdoor tasks as needed
- Supportingthe upkeep of the grounds and outdoor areas
Animal Care
- Assistingwith the daily care of several large dogs
- Helpingwith the care of the family's small ponies
- Ensuringthe animals are comfortable and well looked after
- Workingalongside the existing morning groom
- No dog walking or riding is required
Working Hours
- Mondayto Friday
- Typically8:30am – 5:30pm
- Flexibilityis appreciated when the principals are away or require occasional weekendsupport, with time off given in lieu where appropriate.
Accommodation
The successful couple will be provided with their ownseparate, fully furnished accommodation with all utility bills included.
