East Kilbride | Covering Glasgow & Central Belt
£30,000 to £35,000 DOE + Company Vehicle + Full Benefits
We are working with a well established, UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy operating across Scotland. Due to continued growth and internal progression, they are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial and Industrial Asbestos Surveyor to join their team.
This is not a volume driven consultancy. Surveyors are treated as professionals, trusted to deliver technically robust work without unrealistic targets or constant oversight.
The Role
You will undertake a mix of Management and Refurbishment and Demolition surveys across commercial, industrial and public sector properties throughout the Central Belt.
Work is properly scoped and scheduled. Experienced surveyors contribute to planning and technical input to ensure projects are realistic, safe and defensible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting Management and R&D surveys in line with HSG264 and current legislation
- Producing accurate, defensible reports using a tablet based surveying system
- Collecting and recording asbestos samples correctly
- Liaising professionally with clients, tenants and site representatives
- Maintaining UKAS compliance and supporting internal quality procedures
- Contributing to continuous improvement of systems and reporting standards
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 3 years asbestos surveying experience
- Strong understanding of ACMs, building construction and current guidance
- High attention to detail and pride in report quality
- Experience across commercial and industrial properties
- Full UK driving licence
- Broad exposure to varied survey scopes
Why This Role Stands Out
- £30,000 to £35,000 salary depending on experience
- Company vehicle
- 23 days annual leave plus 9 statutory days
- Group life and injury cover
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
- Additional payments for working away
- Cycle to work scheme
- Realistic scheduling with the expectation of finishing on time each evening
- A culture focused on quality over volume
This consultancy invests in long term development. Support is available for:
- Auditing and quality training
- Train the Trainer pathways
- Progression into technical, quality or auditing roles based on performance and ambition
This is a stable, long term opportunity within a growing consultancy where your expertise is valued and your professional judgement respected.
If you are an experienced surveyor looking for variety, autonomy and genuine progression rather than high pressure volume work, this role will appeal.
Applications handled in strict confidence.
