Commission Only | Remote | Flexible | Uncapped Earnings

We’re looking for someone who knows the commercial finance market and, more importantly, already has a strong network within it. You might have worked for a lender, brokerage, finance network, software provider or another business selling into the sector. You’ll already know brokers, lenders and business owners and have relationships you can start working with. This isn’t a role where we expect you to spend six months building a network from scratch. We want someone who already has one.

About us

ActionDesk is an established AI, automation and technology consultancy. We’ve been operating for almost 10 years, hold recognised accreditations and have an experienced technical and delivery team behind the business. We help companies use AI and automation to make practical improvements to their business. That can mean increasing lead conversion, improving follow-up, automating admin and onboarding, reactivating old databases, improving compliance processes or removing repetitive operational work. The important bit is that we’re not selling AI for the sake of AI. We look for genuine commercial or operational problems and build systems that solve them.

The role

Your job is straightforward: create opportunities and win business within commercial finance. That could mean working with:

  • Commercial mortgage brokers
  • Asset finance brokers
  • Bridging firms
  • Invoice finance businesses
  • Specialist lenders
  • Commercial finance networks
  • Other businesses operating in the sector

We also want you developing relationships with potential introducers and partners who can bring us into their own client base. If you’re good at opening doors but don’t want to handle the technical side of a deal, that’s fine. We can join discovery calls, run demonstrations, help scope opportunities, prepare proposals and support you with closing. Once something is sold, our team delivers it. We’ll also provide leads and accounts where we can, as well as specific companies and potential partners for you to approach.

What can you earn?

This is a commission-only position with uncapped earnings. You can earn up to 15% commission on business you generate, with commission payable for up to two years, depending on the service and commercial agreement. The numbers can become meaningful quickly. For example, a recent deal worth around £50,000 would have generated approximately £6,000 in initial commission, with further monthly commission after that under the relevant agreement. That's one client. Build a portfolio of good accounts and you're building recurring income rather than starting from zero every month.

What we give you

  • Up to 15% commission for up to two years
  • Uncapped earnings
  • Fully remote working
  • Flexible hours
  • Support closing deals
  • Technical people available for client meetings
  • Proposal and pricing support
  • Demonstrations and solution design
  • Marketing and sales material
  • Warm leads where available
  • Accounts and opportunities where available
  • Lists of potential introducers and partners to target
  • CRM and pipeline support
  • Product and sales training
  • Cybersecurity awareness training
  • A delivery team that takes over once the work is won

We’re not expecting you to become an AI engineer. We need you to understand the client, recognise an opportunity and get us into the right conversations.

Who we're looking for

This will suit someone who has spent a few years in commercial finance and has built up a genuine network. You might be a:

  • Lender BDM
  • Broker Development Manager
  • Relationship Director
  • Account Manager
  • Commercial Finance Broker
  • Business Development Manager
  • Supplier or technology salesperson selling into commercial finance

You need to be comfortable talking to owners and senior decision-makers and confident enough to pick up the phone and speak to people you already know. You don’t need to work traditional office hours and you don’t need to do this full-time. It could suit someone who is consulting, building a portfolio career, between senior roles or simply wants to make more from the network they’ve spent years building. For the right person, there is also the opportunity to take on more responsibility for our commercial finance business as it grows.

Interested? Send us a CV or a short introduction. More importantly, tell us where you sit in the commercial finance market and who your network is made up of. If you've already got the relationships, we can give you the services, support and delivery capability to turn them into business.
