Are you a UK-registered veterinary surgeon with strong farm animal experience and a passion for improving animal health and productivity?
Zoetis is looking for a Veterinary Consultant, Ruminants to join our UK Veterinary Operations team, supporting customers across Northern England and the Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced farm vet to combine their veterinary expertise, customer relationships and commercial understanding to make a meaningful impact across the cattle and sheep sector.
About the role
As Veterinary Consultant, you will provide scientific and technical support to veterinary practices and customers across your region, helping them address challenges around animal health, diagnostics and disease control.
Working closely with our Account Managers and wider Zoetis teams, you will:
- Provide expert veterinary and technical advice to customers across cattle and sheep production.
- Support veterinary practices through technical training, coaching and product education.
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with veterinary customers and Key Opinion Leaders.
- Use practice data and your veterinary expertise to identify opportunities and develop solutions that improve animal health and productivity.
- Provide diagnostic support and respond effectively to customer technical queries.
- Support pharmacovigilance activities and ensure high standards of compliance.
- Work closely with Account Managers to develop tailored customer solutions and support business growth.
- Share your expertise across Zoetis, helping colleagues build their technical and veterinary capability.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, diseases and developments within the animal health sector.
About you
We're looking for someone who combines strong veterinary expertise with excellent communication, relationship-building and commercial skills.
You will ideally have:
- A Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and current RCVS registration.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in UK farm veterinary practice.
- Experience and knowledge in cattle and/or sheep health.
- The ability to translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, practical advice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
- A genuine interest in understanding customers' businesses and identifying opportunities to add value.
- A commercially minded approach and the ability to work collaboratively with Account Managers and cross-functional teams.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification or certificate in disease management or animal health would be advantageous.

Location & travel
Field-based - Northern England & Midlands, GB
This role involves a high frequency of travel throughout the designated region, so a full UK driving licence is required. Occasional international travel may also be required.
