Account Manager (Field-Based) – Lancashire, UK

Location: Lancashire, UK (Field Force). Reporting to: Area Business Manager. Business Unit: Companion Animal.

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager (AM) to join our Companion Animal Business Unit in Lancashire, UK. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for selling our portfolio of products to independent customers, corporate key accounts, veterinary practices, and, where required, directly to farmers.

Your success will come from building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with customers, delivering sales growth and market share, and representing Zoetis with professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Strategy

  • Maintain expert knowledge of our products, services, market trends, and competitors.
  • Develop and execute effective account plans in collaboration with Veterinarians, Business Consultants, and ABMs.
  • Align activities with marketing programmes and national KPIs, using CRM systems effectively.
  • Analyse customer opportunities to drive sales growth.

Customer Relationships

  • Build strong, lasting relationships with veterinary practices, farmers, and corporate customers.
  • Deliver tailored solutions using Zoetis products, services, and technical expertise.
  • Collaborate and share best practices with colleagues across the team.

Sales & Call Activity

  • Achieve sales growth and market share targets for designated product lines.
  • Use the Solution Selling model to identify and capitalise on customer opportunities.
  • Conduct structured customer calls with clear objectives and documented follow-up.
  • Deliver impactful product messaging and negotiate win–win outcomes.

Compliance & Standards

  • Adhere to Zoetis values, policies, and industry codes of practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage budgets responsibly.
  • Attain AMTRA qualification within three years of employment.
