Are you an experienced fundraising professional who thrives on creating memorable experiences, inspiring communities, building lasting relationships and leading people to achieve their best? Charity People are delighted to be partnering with Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice to find their next Senior Events & Community Fundraising Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate fundraising team and lead ambitious events and community fundraising activity that helps provide vital care and support to babies, young children and families across Coventry.

Salary: £33,000 – £38,000 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week (including occasional evenings and weekends)

Location: Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, Coventry (with travel to events, meetings and community activities as required)

Zoe’s Place: The UK’s only baby-specific hospice charity, providing specialist palliative, respite and end-of-life care for babies and children aged 0 to 5 with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. They offer a safe, nurturing and joyful environment where families are supported, and children receive the very best care from dedicated specialist nurses providing round-the-clock support.

About the role: As Senior Events & Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll lead the planning, delivery and growth of a varied programme of fundraising events and community activities. You’ll create opportunities that generate income, inspire supporters and strengthen Zoe’s Place’s presence across Coventry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the Events Fundraiser and Community Fundraiser through effective line management, coaching, regular feedback and performance support.
  • Leading fundraising events from concept through to delivery, including budgeting, venue management, suppliers, logistics, risk assessments and compliance.
  • Developing events and community fundraising plans, using insight and data to maximise engagement, income and supporter retention.
  • Building strong relationships with donors, sponsors, businesses and community groups to secure long-term support.
  • Creating compelling partnership opportunities and ensuring excellent supporter stewardship.
  • Supporting and inspiring community fundraisers and volunteers to grow income and engagement.
  • Monitoring budgets, income performance and KPIs, identifying opportunities to maximise fundraising success.

No two days will be the same. You could be leading a major fundraising event, meeting a community partner, coaching a member of your team, reviewing income performance or developing new ways to engage supporters.

About you: We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience delivering successful fundraising events, campaigns or community fundraising activity.
  • Experience of line managing, coaching or mentoring colleagues, with the ability to motivate, develop and support others to achieve their potential.
  • A proven ability to build and manage relationships with donors, sponsors, businesses and supporters.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting income and measuring impact.
  • Knowledge of fundraising regulations, GDPR compliance and best practice.
  • Experience using fundraising databases or CRM systems.
  • A collaborative, positive and proactive leadership style.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
