Due to growth, a new and exciting position is available for a Specialist Services – Airfreight Operations professional. Our client is part of a UK privately owned group handling more than 4.75 million consignments yearly, with a live customer base of 1500 per week.
Responsibilities for the Specialist Services – Airfreight Operations:
- Manage cross-trade shipments (e.g., Korea to Finland).
- Coordinate with overseas agents across multiple time zones to ensure timely collection and delivery, and adherence to SOPs.
- Book jobs into the FMS (currently MultiFreight).
- Manage accruals, invoicing, and updating tracking sheets.
- Coordinate deployment and work with the white glove team.
- Promptly respond to customer emails and provide PODs.
- Work with the team and clients to discuss operational needs, anticipate ground support requirements, and keep clients informed with relevant updates.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail, a solid understanding of freight forwarding (preferably airfreight-biased), strong admin skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver top-tier service.
Employment Terms:
- Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30 or 09:00-17:30, with some flexibility for the right candidate.
- Salary is DOE, £30-40k, with flexible employment options.
