Our client is a leading global supplier of Ingredients Manufacturing Solutions for the Food and Beverage industries. Based in Kent, they are seeking 2 experienced Maintenance Technicians on a 4 on/4 off – 6am-6pm shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine checks on planned maintenance items
- Prioritise and make repairs to any site breakdowns
- Support the Engineering Manager with the delivery of the PPM system and general maintenance tasks
- Support Production wherever and whenever required
- Weekly site inspection reporting
- Keep records up to date
- Handle and report back to Engineering Manager on reactive T-Card Jobs
- Deputise for Engineering Manager for absence cover report to Production Manager in this event
- Chaperone contractors and visitors when on site
- Active involvement in continuous improvements as needed and guided by Engineering Manager with actions/comments
- Carry out installations on facility to all current legislation and regulations
- Make amendments to Production Equipment as directed
- Ensure good housekeeping at all times
- Keep an eye on stock levels of spare holdings, make Engineering Manager aware of any spares required
- Make sure Food & Hygiene standards are upheld at all times
- Ensure smooth hand overs across shifts and communicate effectively with other Maintenance Technicians
The successful candidate must have the following:
- Multi-Skilled Maintenance
- Electrical and Mechanical Installation experience
- Good understanding of Health & Safety practices. IOSH or higher preferred
- Good basic hydraulic knowledge
- Good basic Pneumatic knowledge
- Good knowledge of Food Safety expectations
- Ability to work quickly and under pressure
- Team Player
