Overview
Our client is a well established Heathrow Freight Forwarding Agent based in Sunbury who have a new opportunity for a Driver and Warehouse Operative to be a key member of the driving team; assisting with the smooth-running of the company’s transport department and organise the warehouse; by booking-in shipments and advising when shipments are back. The successful candidate must have a 5 year steady work record and full UK Drivers Licence (clean/max 3 points). Should have a flexible and strong work ethic and able to work as part of a team.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Salary: £28k basic + overtime and Benefits
Day to day duties – Driver and Warehouse Operative
- Completing delivery run sheets and uploading accurate information.
- Securing goods and maintaining proper documentation.
- Adhering to security and health & safety protocols.
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any defects.
- Providing assistance to colleagues and reporting transport issues.
- Delivering high levels of customer service with professional appearance.
- Verifying freight accuracy during loading/unloading.
- Communicating with security companies and providing accurate shipment details.
- Ensuring timely scanning and reporting of delivery and collection data.
- Undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff, as may be reasonably requested by the Manager or Directors.
Essential – Driver and Warehouse Operative
- Hold a full UK driving licence (no HGV licence required, but desirable).
- Have a good knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Have the ability to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines.
- Have strong communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Be a team player in the transport team, as well as work with staff in other departments.
