Contract length: 4–6 months (with an option to convert to a full-time role by mutual agreement). We are looking for a Growth Analytics Engineer to own the data platform that powers ZOE's commercial decision-making. This is a highly impactful, hands-on role sitting at the intersection of marketing, engineering, and data. You won't just be writing specs for someone else, you will be writing JavaScript, designing high-quality data layers, and wiring clean conversion signals straight into BigQuery via dbt. We prize high technical velocity, short feedback loops, and data accuracy.
Our Stack
- Tracking & MarTech: GTM / sGTM (Server-side), Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, TikTok Events API, Optimizely
- Data & Analytics Engineering: BigQuery, dbt
- We also use: GCP (Cloud Run/Docker), Dagster, Terraform, Braze, Mixpanel, GitHub Actions
The Impact You’ll Make
- Production sGTM: Get server-side GTM running smoothly with MetaCAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, and Mixpanel to ensure rock-solid data reliability.
- Data Governance: Establish a clean event/data-layer spec used consistently across our web and ad platforms to power our experimentation pipeline.
- Clean ELT Pipelines: Maintain and improve the end-to-end data pipeline within BigQuery and dbt, turning raw event ingestion into analyst-ready data models.
- Privacy First: Manage CMP integrations with GTM Consent Mode, ensuring no tags fire pre-consent.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Deep sGTM & GTM Expertise: Production experience with server-side GTM, data layer design, event schema implementation, and writing custom templates.
- Strong JavaScript Skills: Comfortable writing custom GTM tags, implementing client-side event schemas, and debugging tracking instrumentation in the browser.
- Conversion Signal Ingestion: Proven experience integrating signals with tools like MetaCAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, or server-side event APIs.
- Analytics Engineering Fluency: Strong experience with dbt and BigQuery to build clean, governed, best-in-class data models.
- Privacy Mindset: Familiarity with cookie consent management (e.g., OneTrust) and multi-region compliance (GDPR/CCPA).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience or familiarity with DevOps/Infra tools (Terraform, GCP, Dagster, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with Mixpanel, Optimizely, or Braze.
- Background in D2C subscription, healthcare, or regulated industries.
