- Own how we design high-quality website data layers, feed clean conversion signals into ad platforms, and inform our experimentation on top of that data.
- Design and manage the GTM/sGTM containers and marketing platform conversion signals to ensure the resulting warehouse data quality powers experimentation and bidding decisions.
Join a team that prizes high technical velocity and sits between marketing, engineering, and data. We use short feedback loops to keep our tracking accurate and our experiments trustworthy. This is a hands-on build role. We expect you to write JavaScript, deploy infrastructure, define the data model, and wire it into BigQuery. Not just spec it for someone else.
Our cutting-edge stack - a taste of what you'll use!
- Data & Infrastructure: GCP (Cloud Run / Docker), BigQuery, dbt, Dagster
- Tracking & Experimentation: GTM / sGTM (Server-side), Optimizely
- Marketing Platform Tools: Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, TikTok Events API
- Tools & CI/CD: Braze, Mixpanel, Terraform, GitHub Action, HEX
The impact you’ll make:
- Success looks like: Server-side GTM running in production with MetaCAPI / Google Enhanced Conversions / Mixpanel Server-side ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- A governed event / data-layer spec used consistently across the web and ad platforms, driving informed decisions for our experimentation pipeline and marketing initiatives.
- Clear documentation and strategy on the infrastructure that’s built so others can build on top of it.
What you’ll do:
- Full-stack Google Tag Manager ownership: Strategy, governance, deployment and auditing tag configurations across both client-side and server-side GTM web containers.
- Robust event tracking & data layer quality: Own the direction and partner with front-end engineers to ship custom events that inform onsite experimentation, user journeys and analytical models.
- High-quality data pipelines for Marketing platforms: Build, maintain and improve data pipelines that send signals to Meta, Google, AppsFlyer and other platforms, troubleshooting discrepancies and ensuring data consistency across the marketing stack.
- Data platform for commercial: Build, maintain and improve the end-to-end ELT pipeline within BigQuery and dbt, from raw event ingestion through to analyst-ready data models.
- Privacy & consent: Manage the CMP integration with GTM Consent Mode; ensure no tags fire pre-consent and no PII leaks downstream.
What you’ll bring:
- Must-haves: Production experience with GTM and sGTM, including data layer design, event schema implementation, writing custom GTM templates and sGTM client / transform logic.
- Strong JavaScript skills writing custom GTM tags and templates, implementing client-side event schemas, and debugging tracking instrumentation in the browser.
- Experience integrating conversion and value signals with advertising and attribution tools such as MetaCAPI / Google Enhanced Conversions / server-side event APIs in production.
- Proven experience with dbt and analytics-engineering practices to build best-in-class data models.
- Experience in creating a website data layer that informs marketing, commercial and product teams.
- Working knowledge of cookie consent management (e.g. OneTrust) and familiarity with multi-region / GDPR + CCPA.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Mixpanel, Optimizely and/or Braze.
- Healthcare, D2C subscription, or other regulated-industry experience.
- Website experimentation literacy and what makes an A/B readout trustworthy.
