Our client is a small, expanding freight forwarding company specialising in the niche fine art shipping industry. They have an exciting new role available for an experienced air export professional to join the expanding team.
Must have previous air export knowledge, operations and Customs experience. This is an opportunity to be involved in an expanding business as a key member of the team. Must have a driving licence and own transport, along with previous experience in export air freight forwarding, preferably in the art shipping sector.
Exceptional English communication and customer service skills are required. There is also an opportunity to develop business, and any previous knowledge of the high-value or art shipping industry is highly desirable.
Skills Required for the Export Clerk:
- Previous air export operations/art shipping & Customs knowledge
- Able to cut and rate Master/House waybills
- Knowledge of Customs entries and various Customs systems (CDS)
- Experience shipping fine arts & high-value goods highly desirable
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential
- Broad scope of completing air export shipments, start to finish
- Using CargoWise (previous experience advantageous but not essential)
Employment Terms:
- Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm/8.30am-5pm
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Based in the office 5 days per week – 1 work from home day/hybrid post probation
- Car driver/own transport for commuting
- £35k DOE & Negotiable
