Role Overview

To provide high quality, person centred care and support to individuals, enabling them to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity, either in their own homes or in a care setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
  • Support with medication in line with training and care plans
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice at all times
  • Offer emotional support and companionship
  • Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
  • Accurately record care provided and report any changes in health or wellbeing
  • Follow care plans, risk assessments, and company policies
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with safeguarding procedures

Requirements

  • A caring, compassionate, and patient nature
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliability and flexibility, including weekends or evenings if required
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Previous care experience

Desirable

  • Certificates such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Experience in domiciliary or residential care
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for community roles)
