Role Overview
To provide high quality, person centred care and support to individuals, enabling them to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity, either in their own homes or in a care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
- Support with medication in line with training and care plans
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice at all times
- Offer emotional support and companionship
- Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Accurately record care provided and report any changes in health or wellbeing
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, and company policies
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with safeguarding procedures
Requirements
- A caring, compassionate, and patient nature
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and flexibility, including weekends or evenings if required
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous care experience
Desirable
- Certificates such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Experience in domiciliary or residential care
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for community roles)
