Town Planner – Newcastle upon Tyne

As a specialist planning recruiter, I’m currently working with a well-established planning consultancy based in Newcastle upon Tyne who are looking to add a Planner / Senior Planner to their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional who wants exposure to high-quality projects across the North East and beyond , while benefiting from genuine support, flexibility, and long-term career development.

The Role

You’ll be involved in a varied workload, including:

  • Preparing and managing planning applications
  • Providing planning advice to clients and stakeholders
  • Supporting or leading on appeals and local plan work
  • Liaising with local authorities and consultants
  • Contributing to business development and client relationships (senior level)
  • The role can be tailored depending on experience, from Graduate/Planner through to Senior Planner .

    My client is keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • MRTPI (or working towards it)
  • Experience in either consultancy or local authority planning
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
