We’re working in partnership with a respected planning consultancy/local authority client to recruit a Senior Town Planner for their team in the Scottish Central Belt. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to take a lead role on high-profile projects while continuing to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
- Leading and managing complex planning applications and development proposals
- Providing strategic planning advice to clients and stakeholders
- Preparing and reviewing planning statements, supporting reports, and appeals
- Liaising with local authorities, statutory consultees, and project teams
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the planning team
About You
- Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
- MRTPI (or working towards chartership) preferred
- Proven experience within a consultancy or local authority setting in Scotland
- Strong knowledge of the Scottish planning system
- Confident communicator with excellent report-writing and stakeholder management skills
