My client is a multidisciplinary, planning-led consultancy. They are seeking a Senior/Principal Planner to join their team in Cheltenham. The firm has an excellent track record for delivering planning applications across various projects, including renewable energy, mineral extraction/restoration, leisure, residential, and rural developments.
You will:
- Lead and manage planning projects from inception to completion, including overseeing development proposals, conducting feasibility studies, and evaluating planning applications.
- Develop and implement planning policies and strategies that promote sustainable development, environmental conservation, and community engagement.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and stakeholders to align planning efforts with the city's vision and goals.
- Engage with the community through public meetings, workshops, and outreach to gather input on planning initiatives.
- Stay updated on local, national, and international trends in urban planning and incorporate best practices into policies and projects.
- Provide expert advice to senior management, elected officials, and stakeholders on planning matters.
