About the Role:
As a Senior Planner, you’ll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of projects from inception through to completion. You’ll provide strategic planning advice, coordinate applications, lead on stakeholder engagement, and contribute to the development of local and regional planning policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documents
- Provide expert planning advice to clients and colleagues
- Manage and mentor junior staff
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
- Represent the company at planning committees, appeals, and public consultations
- Stay up to date with planning legislation and policy changes
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
- RTPI membership (or eligibility for membership)
- At least 5 years of experience in planning, preferably within a consultancy or local authority
- Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills
- Strong project management and organisational abilities
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
