About the Role
They are currently looking to appoint an experienced Civil Engineer in their Saffron Walden office. The successful candidate will work on the design of major infrastructure, highway and energy schemes. To work in both supervised and unsupervised environments, ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct to the standard required and meets client needs and expectations. All engineers work under direct supervision of highly experienced directors and alongside a team of dedicated engineers and technicians. They can offer an ICE approved training agreement and a route towards chartered membership of a professional engineering institution. Depending on experience, as you progress you can expect to be active on a number of projects and with a number of clients at any given time.
Responsibilities
- Liaise and communicate clearly in a professional manner to colleagues, clients, contractors and other designers to offer advice and guidance on matters relating to your work.
- Be able to work in close collaboration with team members.
- Attendance at design meetings, site meetings and carry out site inspections.
- Work on projects with consideration to the agreed project budgetary limits and timescales.
- Liaison with statutory bodies including Local Authorities and National Highways.
Qualifications / Experience
- MEng / BEng(Hons) in Civil Engineering
- Demonstrate working within a multi-disciplinary design team
- Understanding & appreciation of health and safety legislation covering the construction industry
