Location: Reading

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site-Based Sampling & Assessment
  • Attend sites nationwide to carry out soil and waste sampling using approved techniques.
  • Conduct visual and olfactory assessments of materials, accurately recording all observations.
  • Take clear, high-quality photographs to document site activities for inclusion in reports.
  • Confirm sampling locations in consultation with clients and the internal Technical Team.
  • Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental guidelines during site work.
  • Communication & Coordination
    • Liaise with site personnel to plan and carry out fieldwork efficiently.
    • Maintain regular contact with office-based colleagues to coordinate logistics and ensure accurate data handling.
    • Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and contractors on-site.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Accurately log sampling details, including site conditions, sampling methods, and supporting photographic evidence.
    • Provide comprehensive field data to the Technical Team to support waste classification and technical reporting processes.

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience in a geoenvironmental, geotechnical, or related site-based engineering role.
    • Full UK driving licence.
    • Eligible to drive a company vehicle (must be 21+ due to insurance requirements).
