My client, a successful Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy is seeking a confident and talented Experienced Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Norwich. They are a well-established practice known for delivering high-quality design solutions and exceptional customer service. You will have the chance to play a key role in the growth of the business as well as progression in your career, with opportunities to advance to Associate, Director, and even potential partnership in the business, based on experience and performance.
The requirements for this Experienced Structural Engineer role include:
- Professional membership of the ICE or IStructE (CEng or IEng level).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering design and consultancy.
- Experience in managing projects and mentoring junior staff.
- A full UK driving licence and your own transport.
- The ability to work independently, plan, and execute tasks confidently.
Key Responsibilities for this Experienced Structural Engineer:
- Structural analysis and design for complex structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Preparation of design calculations and reports for various projects.
- Conducting structural condition surveys, generating reports, and developing remedial work schemes.
- Project management of assigned projects, including overseeing junior staff to ensure successful delivery from initial client enquiry through to project completion.
- Business management tasks, including compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), auditing, etc.
- Roads and drainage design experience is a plus.
- Offshore structural design experience is preferred but not essential.
