A well-established and growing planning consultancy is seeking an ambitious Associate Planner to join its team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planning professional looking to take the next step in their career within a respected consultancy delivering a strong pipeline of residential, commercial, energy, and mixed-use developments across Wales and the UK.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing planning projects, advising clients, and supporting the continued growth of the business. You will work closely with senior leadership while helping to mentor junior planners within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a varied portfolio of planning applications and appeals
- Providing strategic planning advice to a diverse client base
- Preparing planning statements, site appraisals, and representations
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
- Supporting business development and team growth initiatives
- MRTPI qualified (or close to qualification)
- Experience within a consultancy, developer, or local authority environment
