Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning process for a range of development projects, ensuring compliance with relevant planning policies and regulations.
- Prepare and submit planning applications, liaising with local authorities, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategic planning frameworks to support business objectives.
- Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
- Provide expert planning advice to internal teams and external partners.
- Monitor planning policy changes and assess their impact on future projects.
- Manage relationships with local planning authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee planning appeals, enforcement matters, and public consultations where necessary.
Requirements:
- A degree in Town Planning, Urban Design, or a related field.
- Chartered membership with the RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute) or working towards accreditation.
- Proven experience in planning, ideally within a consultancy, developer, or local authority.
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy frameworks.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
