DRAINAGE ENGINEER Location: Basingstoke Salary: £30-£40k (Depending on experience) Job description My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Flood Risk Engineering, is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join a new team based in Basingstoke. Applicants are required to have a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Drainage Strategies and Drainage Design using Microdrainage. Candidates are also required to have experience mentoring junior team members or managing projects. This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an experienced team of Engineers to complete varied residential, commercial, fuel from waste, renewable, battery storage and solar projects for Local Authorities, House Builders, Contractors and Private Sector Clients. Applicants will also be supported to complete the following; • Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3. • Surface water management plans. • Surface water and foul drainage strategies. • Detailed design of surface water and foul water drainage systems. • SuDS Design using Microdrainage for residential tower blocks, solar, renewable, greenfield developments and waste projects. • Drainage Impact Assessments. • You would be expected to manage and mentor team members and manage projects. • Business development- promoting the services of the company to new and existing Clients.
