Location: Derby

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drainage Design Engineer to join their team in Derby. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing Flood Risk Assessments, designing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and working on a range of design infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree or a similar qualification, and previous experience in an Infrastructure Design role.

Drainage Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Producing Flood Risk Assessments and designing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant current standards, guidelines and contemporary environmental solutions.
  • Working with other disciplines and interested parties on design and detailing of infrastructure works.
  • Agreement process for S278 and S38 highway schemes.
  • Demonstrating a strong working knowledge of Section 104 and 106 for drainage.
  • Representing the employer on a client-facing basis.
  • Working independently and using proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, AutoTrack, PDS, PDS Line, and PDS Sign.
  • Desired experience in MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow and ideally Civil 3D.
Drainage Engineer Requirements:
  • Civil Engineering degree or similar qualification.
  • Previous experience in an Infrastructure Design role.
  • Strong working knowledge of drainage and highway schemes.
  • Ability to represent the employer on a client-facing basis.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, AutoTrack, and PDS.
  • Desired experience in MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow and ideally Civil 3D.
