My client, a successful Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy is seeking a confident and talented experienced Structural Engineer to join their growing team in London. They are a well-established practice known for delivering high-quality design solutions and exceptional customer service. The requirements for this Structural Engineer role include:
* Professional membership of the ICE or IStructE (CEng or IEng level).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
* At least 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering design and consultancy.
* Experience in managing projects and mentoring junior staff.
* A full UK driving licence and your own transport.
* The ability to work independently, plan, and execute tasks confidently.
Key Responsibilities for this Structural Engineer:
* Structural analysis and design for complex structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
* Preparation of design calculations and reports for various projects.
* Conducting structural condition surveys, generating reports, and developing remedial work schemes.
* Project management of assigned projects, including overseeing junior staff to ensure successful delivery from initial client enquiry through to project completion.
* Business management tasks, including compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), auditing, etc.
* Roads and drainage design experience is a plus.
* Offshore structural design experience is preferred but not essential.
