Company profile: Our client is a privately owned consulting engineering company. Established more than 25 years ago, their team has diverse engineering expertise from civil and structural, to marine and seismic, and they offer full project management services to their clients. They have worked in a range of industries including power, transportation, oil, gas, petrochemical and industrial, and they continue to embrace new sectors at every opportunity.
Job Summary: They are looking for a permanent Civil/Structural Engineer. The candidate will be accountable to the Directors to undertake calculations, design work and design management as required for projects. Some of the key duties will be:
- Production of engineering design & detail in accordance with project requirements
- Preparation of calculations, written reports and checking of contract drawings
- Checking of calculations done by other Engineers
- Client liaison
- Site visits as required by projects
The Civil/Structural Engineer must have:
- A Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering OR approaching (or recently) Chartered
- At least 3 yearsβ design experience in Civil & Engineering projects
- Excellent communication skills
- IT literate
- Competent in English (verbal and written)
