Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with proven ability in drainage and infrastructure design, able to provide sound advice to support their network of clients. The role is based in Crowborough.
What will the successful Civil Engineer do:
Work closely with the Infrastructure Team and Senior Director supporting engineering designs for planning applications, detailed designs, and construction of drainage, highways, street works, public realm, SUDS, and building drainage for major infrastructure and developments.
Involve in producing drainage and levels strategies for planning applications (including flood risk assessments) and technical drawings for tender and construction, adhering to design standards and quality procedures.
What you need to know:
- HNC or BEng Civil Engineering degree
- Experience in consultancy/private sector development, especially residential projects
- Experience with drainage designs, strategies, flood risk assessments for private and adoptable works
- Proficiency in technical drawings for infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Microdrainage, AutoCAD, and relevant legal and planning procedures
- Understanding of SuDS Manual and DCG principles and standards
- Strong team player with good communication and organizational skills
- Proactive and strategic thinker to support client needs
