Role: Civil Engineer Location: Gloucester Salary: £32k-£43k plus benefits REF: MAR824 Our client is looking for bright, enthusiastic, and open-minded Civil Engineers to join their office in Gloucester to deliver the exciting road & drainage, water and utilities projects. Working within a dynamic team and overseen by a Senior Engineer and Principal Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of the Civil Engineering design on a range of challenging projects across the water sector including but not limited to new and replacement potable water mains, foul drainage including CSO remediation works and both SuDS and conventional surface water drainage design. The Civil Engineer role: • Solving engineering problems • You will want to work and support a culture in which employees take pride in their work and are focussed on customer service. • Adept at 3D design and modelling using software such as MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage • Water Authority Statutory Approval processes such as S104, S106 etc • SuDS Approval Body involvement About you: • 3+ years’ experience in the water industry with potable, surface and foul water design and/or construction • Civil Engineering degree – Preferably a Masters • Have measurable progression with or be willing to work towards Professional Qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers or Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management • Ability to manage concurrent projects ensuring prioritisation of tasks and deliverables to ensure effective delivery • Ability to work using own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
