My client is a specialist UK based Civil Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Structural, Civil and Environmental Engineering. They are now looking for a CAD Technician to join an established team of Engineers based in Cheltenham to work on varied residential and commercial development projects.
It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a HNC/HND in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing detailed designs for residential and commercial developments.
You will be expected to have experience completing residential, pipeline, drainage and/or sewerage design using AutoCAD. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing residential projects.
This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced engineers and technicians to work on varied scale residential developments, extensions, commercial builds and historical development projects (Churches and Vicarages) for Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers and Local Authorities.
You will also have the opportunity to complete drainage and utility designs using AutoCAD for residential and commercial development projects including new builds and extensions.
You will also have the opportunity to complete;
• Drainage plans.
• Site visits.
• Structural surveys for property sales.
• Detailed drawings for historical developments.
• Training and support others to use AutoCAD.
