A respected multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to expand its Guildford team with a skilled Building Surveyor. Role Highlights
- Carry out comprehensive building surveys, including condition assessments, defect identification, and project oversight for refurbishment and maintenance works.
- Produce clear and detailed documentation, including technical reports, specifications, and tender packages.
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance, health and safety, and statutory obligations.
- Oversee projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide support for expert witness work and assist in dispute resolution when necessary.
- Work on a diverse portfolio of buildings, including residential, commercial, and public sector assets.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Building Surveying or a closely related field.
- Ideally chartered (MRICS or similar), or actively working towards professional qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in a building surveying role, preferably within a consultancy setting.
- Strong understanding of building construction, pathology, and current legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
