Zodiac Maritime has embarked on a significant digital transformation programme, the scope of which touches most parts of the business. We are looking for a Business Analyst with a credible track record of working within complex change & transformation programmes, the outcome of which included significant technical changes. Based five days a week in our office in central London, you’ll contribute to a variety of projects within the programme from delivering continuous improvement to newly implemented ERP solutions to implementing new procurement or contract management systems. This is a broad role which will require you to be comfortable across the end-to-end analysis process, from actively engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements through to owning the UAT process and into Hypercare.
Key responsibilities and primary deliverables:
- You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and objectives through interviews, workshops, and meetings to gather information and document the requirements accurately.
- You will analyse gathered requirements and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential issues.
- You will create documentation such as business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, functional specifications, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
- You will facilitate communication, manage expectations and act as a bridge between business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams.
- You will identify areas of inefficiency or bottlenecks within business processes and propose improvements using various techniques like business process modelling and re-engineering to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
- You will analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making using tools like Excel, SQL, or business intelligence software to extract, manipulate, and visualise data.
- Based on the gathered requirements, you will work with technical teams to design appropriate solutions to create system specifications, wireframes, and mock-ups to outline how the proposed solution will address business needs.
- You will collaborate with testing teams to develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for UAT to ensure that the developed solution meets the business requirements.
- You will monitor the performance of implemented solutions and gather feedback from users identifying opportunities for further optimisation and improvement.
Relevant experience & education:
- Strong technical background and knowledge of various technologies and platforms.
- Track record of successfully contributing to systems implementation (ERP) or technical change projects.
- Ideally experience of working within shipping, logistics, oil & gas or utilities businesses.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience and proficiency in the delivery of BA artefacts on multiple, concurrent and/or complex programmes of work.
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent active listening skills.
