We are looking to turbocharge our capabilities within Strategic Intelligence. As an integral part of our Intelligence Team, the role is split roughly 50/50 between existing clients and new business. With a background in both primary (proprietary research and analytics) and secondary data (gathered from desktop, ChatGPT, research or personal observations), you will work closely with all functions within the business and deliver counsel and oversee implementation to ensure we are pushing boundaries. Throughout this process, the ability to effectively prioritise and manage expectations from various stakeholders will be invaluable. Linking up with our Global Intelligence team, you will be a key player in assessing products and services to better root them within Zeno London, while also having oversight of all current Data & Analytics work to ensure we are delivering a best in class service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a team builder and player, working in multiple small teams and proactively contributing.
- Mentor and manage junior colleagues assigned to you.
- Translate data into insights that support client responses and new business opportunities.
- Act as the research go‑to resource, educating colleagues on the scope of our analytics offering and building self‑sufficient competence with analytical tools.
- Maintain commercial awareness, ensuring the billing target for the team and managing the tools budget.
- Lead the development and implementation of efficient and effective reporting for clients on projects or campaigns.
- Analyse previous campaign reports and incorporate learnings into subsequent campaigns.
- Present and interact with clients and in pitch situations.
- Keep up to date on measurement developments in the communications industry, suggesting changes, updates and additions to processes and software.
- Have knowledge of large language models (LLMs) and AI‑powered search and an interest in applying these technologies to enhance our analytics offering.
- Coordinate and oversee daily real‑time news and issue monitoring, including US morning alerts.
- Lead the final compilation and recommendation of reports, presenting findings to clients where required.
- Explore and add research and measurement expertise to other accounts, expanding scope.
- Continuously innovate and improve reporting and measurement for clients.
- Collaborate with the Social and Digital practice to expand measurement and reporting in that area.
- Contribute to a culture of increased data literacy and data‑driven decision‑making across the company.
- Assist in establishing a DIY analytics culture using open tools where possible.
- Work closely with the North America D&A team to explore products and services for the London office.
- Play an active role in bringing D&A into business development pitch work, presenting findings in pitch situations and maximizing opportunities within current clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- Background working in an advertising, media, PR or similar agency environment.
- Familiarity with how the creative communications industry operates.
- Experience with data and analytics tools such as Brandwatch, Cision, Meltwater, Morning Consult, Muck Rack, NewsWhip, Profound GEO, Signal AI, Spike and Talkwalker.
- Ability to manage a research and analytics budget and supplier relationships.
- Experience line‑managing junior team members and educating them on analytical tools.
- Strong presentation skills with clients and in pitches.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on billing targets and budget management.
- Knowledge of measurement developments in the communications industry.
- Some experience or interest in large language models (LLMs) and AI‑powered search technologies.
