Professional Services Engineer in London and surrounding areas.

Package: c£60K - £65K plus car allowance. Hybrid working with home, site, and office occasionally. 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Rewards and healthcare package. Company pension. Ongoing training and development.

Summary: Our client is hiring a Professional Services Engineer (PSE) to support technical tasks like system upgrades, migrations, and remote support. The PSE will assist the Professional Services Manager in managing our Technical Helpdesk and ensure smooth operations during absences. This role involves overseeing technical projects, providing ongoing client support, and handling escalated issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the PSM in implementing new processes for the Professional Services Team.
  • Manage technical work like system migrations, upgrades, and remote support.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate with teams, and mitigate risks.
  • Customize solutions to fit client needs, including scripting and software development.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues.
  • Provide technical support for commercial and aftercare teams.

Required Skills:

  • Can-do attitude, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication.
  • Knowledge of security products, SQL, networks, SaaS, and Windows troubleshooting.
  • Experience with MS Office and Structured Cabling Systems.
  • Must be able to upgrade systems, troubleshoot to a good level and migrate systems.

Desired Skills:

  • Certifications: Lenel ideally and any of the following - Genetec, Gallagher, CCURE 9000, MCSE, CCNA.
  • Experience with MS SQL, JavaScript, Python, C++, PowerShell, SDKs, APIs, AXIS.
