- Carry out scheduled routine servicing in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner
- Carry out all other necessary works required at customer premises in accordance with the Company\'s quality standards
- Effectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status, particularly system defects that affect its correct function
- Liaise with service administrators to ensure service commitments are met
- Work to a planned service and maintenance schedule, emergency call out requirements and remedial repairs and minor additions to existing installations in line with service administration guidance
- Ensure legible and timely completion of all paperwork
- Operate in accordance with the company handbook and all company and customer\'s quality standards and health and safety requirements
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience in servicing and maintaining fire, security, CCTV and access control systems to relevant British Standards
- Able to identify all types of cable associated with fire detection and security systems and to correctly test and terminate the cable ends in accordance with manufacturers\' instructions
- Demonstrates a logical approach to system fault diagnosis and rectification
- Understands different types of cable containment systems
- Deal with customers, end-users, construction personnel and in-house staff in a professional manner
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Understand the basic building services to test cause and effect of fire alarm interfaces
- Comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of fire, intruder, CCTV and access control problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as recommending changes to the system
- Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA)
- Manufacturers training with a minimum requirement of Notifier and Gent equipment in respect of servicing
